Well, I've decided to check up here again now that I have my new lappy! <3 ... Maybe I should actually post something...

I haven't done much writing and drawing recently, though last month I finished my one act play, "Things Not Said." Various characters of mine have also been getting a major revamp as I deepen the world in which they live. I've changed one character's race to be slaves to another, which required an intriguing change to her personality. I'm excited.

Also, WALL-E is awesome and you should go see it.

I am having fun chilling and getting stuff done. Yeah, I relax by finishing the stuff I normally have no time for. I'm weird.

With school winding down, I've had more time to think about my writing. On my list of things to do is revisit the one act play I finished and fix and tweak it until I like it more.

I <3 LOTR. I've missed these movies so much... but I still know the vast majority of the lines and obscure character names.

(ps: I find it rather amusing that I still update this silly site when, I think, one person (HI IVAN!) ever checks it. I can be so pathetic sometimes. )

Yes, I actually have more pieces to put up here! Yay! Thanks to my English project, I have several pieces to put up. I'm going to stagger them as I catch a few minutes to update, but I actually have stuff!

After the musical ends at the end of this month, maybe I'll get my act together again. Maybe not.

In the meantime, enjoy what I've got.

... I just finished reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books. I couldn't resist.

Anyways, life is driving me crazy right now. I've got hard classes to keep up with, an application to VT's honors program due Friday, scholarships to work on, musical practices, a speech to write for Forensics..... *sigh*

I'm trying to get back to actually updating. I was just assigned a creative writing project for English class, so perhaps I'll have some stuff then. If I like it enough.

My current pet project is a one act play called "Things Not Said." I'll put up the first scene for you when I get it done... It'll explain the premise better than I could here.

So lots going on but not much to talk about. I have to get back to that application now... a "Personal Statement" that's supposed to be the result of "extensive soul-searching and deep deliberation." They gave me two weeks. I have one left. So I'm off to deliberate and search my soul.

My eight facts:
1. I play six (going on seven) different musical instruments. Flute (8 yrs), Piccolo (3 yrs), Tin Whistle (3 yrs), bodhrán (2 yrs), and some dabbling in recorder and keyboard. My brother is also teaching me alto sax. I can play one scale!

2. I am working on writing several novels and also have ideas for two one act plays that I would like to finish for consideration in my school's one act competition next year.

3. I abhor the color pink except as a tasteful accent as I have made it a symbol of feminine submission to masculine rule for me. Yes, I'm weird.

4. I can't sit normally in chairs. Like feet forward and all that. (except in formal situations.) I have to cross my legs under me, turn in the chair, or something.

5. I can tie cherry stems in a knot with my tongue.

6. I can knit - without looking. I've knit many scarves and even a pair of socks. One particular scarf I knit has been in such high demand that I haven't had time to move on to other things. I'm going to try a shirt soon.

7. I know lots of random trivia and rock my school's Academic Challenge team. I'm an interdisciplinary geek.

8. I often narrate my life in my head - thinking of how I would describe things, from sunsets I watch to the feel of my boyfriend's arm around my waist. (Yes, in one respect at least I'm a hopeless romantic. ) Some of these are lost forever, others stick and find their way into my writing.

Um, that's pretty much me. And I don't really know anybody else to tag who Ivan didn't. So I suppose that's pretty much it, except to send the tag double to them to make them do it! (Katherine, Rebecca, Erin...)

In other news, I'm still really busy and haven't touched any drawings or writing (other than my mental narratives). Maybe later.
